Question by emperor0074: How long should my apply texas college essays be?

I am trying to apply to both U of T and A&M in College Station. I have started my essays but do not know how long the average essay is. I know that the apply texas website states no more than 120 lines of text but what would be necessary for a good and comprehensive essay?

Remember that admissions is reading a ton of these everyday, and a long repetitive essay is the last thing they want to read, so if you are just writing more and more just to get to the word limit, don't. Short and sweet is the best, as long as you get your point through. A page or a page and a half is fine.
